REQUEST FOR TENDERS 2022/2023 (TWO YEAR CONTRACT) REMOVAL AND ERECTION OF BARBWIRE FENCES
The Council of Starland County is accepting tenders on all the necessary labour and equipment required to remove and erect a regular barbwire fence (4 wire fence with posts approximately 16 feet apart). Tenders are to be submitted on the basis of per mile of fence with approximately 2 to 6 miles of fencing to be completed each year, and must be submitted on the Starland County tendering form. All fencing materials are to be supplied by the municipality. The fencing contractor will be responsible for any loss or damages to private property and fencing materials and must carry insurance with a minimum of two million dollars in public liability.
Tender forms are available upon request from Starland County and must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22nd, 2022. To obtain further information or to receive a copy of the tender form, please contact the undersigned.
The Municipality reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders and to waive irregularities and informalities at its discretion. Starland County reserves the right to accept a tender other than the lowest tender without stating reasons. By the act of submitting its bid, the Bidder waives any right to contest in any legal proceeding or action the right of the municipality to award the work to whomever it chooses in its sole and unfettered discretion, and for whatever reasons the Municipality deems appropriate.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Municipality may consider any other factor besides price and capability to perform the work that it deems in its sole discretion to be relevant to its decision including, but not limited to the following:
- Quality of equipment
- Prior experience with fencing
- Proximity of equipment to the coverage area
- Prior references working for a municipality
