Craigmyle Hamlet Cleanup - June 4th and June 5th

NOTICE TO HAMLET RESIDENTS OF CRAIGMYLE 

Starland County will have equipment and staff available to assist with hamlet lot clean-up in the Hamlet of Craigmyle from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4th, 2015 and Friday, June 5th, 2015.

Residents are asked to have the items they wish to dispose of placed at the back of their property, clearly marked for disposal.  County staff will pick up all refuse and unwanted items that meet the minimum requirements as listed below.

Minimum Requirements:

  • All domestic garbage must be placed in a secured bag and left in the alley for collection and disposal, including domestic garbage from your burning barrel; 
  • Separate wood (treated and untreated), white metal (stoves, washers and dryers), light metal, brick, glass, tires and batteries;
  • No out of hamlet garbage;
  • Used oil (only in closed containers);
  • Used antifreeze (only in closed containers);
  • No items accepted over 4 feet long

A disposal fee and trucking will be charged on the following:


Freon Appliances - $ 15.00

Other Major Appliances - $ 10.00

Other Large Metal Household Items  - $ 15.00

  (ie. Hot water tanks, furnaces, etc.)


**Any other item that requires a disposal fee will be charged back to the person who disposes of those items on clean-up days.

Please note that Starland County will be conducting “Hamlet Clean-up Days” in the Hamlets of Michichi, Rowley and Rumsey later in the summer.  Please watch for our advertisement at that time.
