Starland County has authorized a major culvert installation project for Bridge File 9015, which is located South of the S.E.10-31-17 W.4 M. on Township Road 31-1, approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) east of the Village of Delia.
The contract awarded is for installation of a new bridge sized culvert, and was awarded to Unsurpassable Construction Ltd. The rehabilitation project will involve replacement of the existing culvert, and is required to ensure the long term structural integrity of the bridge file and roadway. This work will require a road closure at this location, and all local traffic will be detoured. Unsurpassable Construction Ltd. will be responsible for establishment of local traffic detours, and maintenance of the detour route.
The work required on the bridge file is scheduled to take approximately 15 days to complete, and is expected to commence September 6, 2016. Project supervision will be completed by Stantec Engineering Ltd. of Red Deer in conjunction with Starland County.
