
Starland County Prepares for 2025 Municipal Election
Starland County residents will head to the polls on Monday, October 20, 2025, to elect councillors in the upcoming municipal general election. The nomination period closed on September 22, and several candidates have stepped forward to represent their wards.
Among the nominees are Mark Landry (Ward 1), Sylvia Ann Neill (Ward 3), and Jacqueline Gayle Watts (Ward 4), all of whom have been acclaimed. Other wards will see contested races, including Ward 2 with candidates Blaine John Leonhardt, Samuel Bruce Thompson, and Steven Wannstrom, and Ward 5 with Carol Lenfesty and William John Rew.
