Starland County is a member of the Drumheller and District Rural Crime Watch Association.
The purpose of the rural crime watch is:
• To promote rural crime prevention through communication, programs and fundraising;
• To improve community awareness with regard to crime prevention;
• To promote crime prevention through the sharing of information regarding techniques, products and ideas;
• To provide information and education to seniors through the Wise Owl program.
Crime prevention is everyone’s responsibility. The Drumheller and District Rural Crime Watch has a new phone fan out system to alert members of criminal activity in their area.
