The Public Works Department of Starland County works to build and maintain the local road system of Township and Range Roads in addition to hamlet road networks. In addition to major road rebuilding, services such as grading, dust control, road gravelling, pothole repair, snow removal, and surfacing are provided throughout the year.

Alberta Transportation is responsible for maintaining all of the highways within Starland County, including Highways 9, 27, 56, 576, 585, 838, 839, 849, 851.
