Road Bans

To protect county roads from damage loading restrictions for commercial vehicles may be in force on some roads under the authority of Bylaw 1026.  Road Bans in Starland County are usually placed on the roadways in the spring and are strictly dependent on weather therefore the time period can fluctuate.  In addition Starland County has ongoing load restrictions on its light-oil road surfaces.  The following light-oil roads are restricted to 75% weight for commercial vehicle loads:

  • RANGE ROAD 16-5 north of HIGHWAY 9
  • TOWNSHIP ROAD 30-2 between HIGHWAY 838 and HIGHWAY 849
  • TOWNSHIP ROAD 31-4 between HIGHWAY 839 and RANGE ROAD 20-3

For the latest and most up-to-date information on Road Bans call Colby at the Starland County office during regular business hours or check back to this site for recent postings.
